A nickname is a choice, not a guarantee of anonymity.
Afterparty lets adults 18+ start without registering an email address or password. That removes a signup step; it does not make a conversation untraceable or stop someone from saving what you share.
What the service processes
Text chat uses a technical anonymous session, your nickname and messages to connect you and deliver the conversation. Matching, blocks and reports also require service data. The privacy notice explains cookies, analytics and advertising providers, which may process device and network information. A nickname is not the only information processed.
What another person can learn
Your partner can see your nickname and the messages you send. Avoid reusing a name linked to your public social accounts. Your workplace, usual travel route or other details may identify you even without a full name. Share only what you are comfortable letting another person keep.
Text, camera and microphone are different choices
The text entry flow does not need camera access. Video chat starts with a local preview after you request browser permission; media is sent to a partner after you start matching. Check the background for addresses, documents and other people. APC does not record calls, but another participant may capture their own screen.
Leaving and reporting
You can leave a conversation without explaining why. Use the block and report controls for harassment, unwanted sexual messages or requests for money. In video chat, Report & block ends the call; choose a reason and submit the report. Leaving a chat is not a promise that all service records or the other person's copies disappear.
Browser storage and advertising choices
Browser storage keeps the technical session and language choice. Clearing it can sign you out or reset settings. The optional Adsterra choice controls that banner only; declining it does not disable all analytics described in the privacy notice. You can decline the optional banner and still use chat.

Do I need to supply my email or phone number?
The chat entry form asks for a nickname, not email or phone registration. This does not mean the service processes no other data. Read Privacy & cookies before entering.
Does Next erase the previous conversation everywhere?
No. Next starts looking for another partner. It cannot remove copies or screenshots someone else has made, and service records follow their own processing and retention rules.
Can I choose or find the same person again?
Random matching does not reserve a previous partner or promise a specific person, gender or country. It needs another eligible person waiting at the same time.
Can I use the service without a camera?
Yes. Choose text chat. In a video call you can turn your camera off, but your voice or details you share may still identify you.
